PURPOSE

Public bus as an important transportation tool for people goes out. We can see each period, every bus line and station’s passenger flow data through bus passenger flow statistics. This statistic data helps us utilize the public resources fully by using the intelligent dispatching system. The accuracy of passenger flow statistics affects the intelligent transportation system operation and the bus operation efficiency directly.

Our Intelligent Vehicle People Counting System adopts our advanced intelligent video analysis algorithm, detect and analyze live body (head and shoulder) shape through video, and analyze the number of people in/out in the setting area, to achieve related number statistic and record. The accuracy can achieve 90% ~95% under standard environment. It can be widely used in statistics and limitation of the living body of the occasion, manager to provide real-time, intuitive, and accurate traffic date, moreover conducive to management and organization of work more efficient.

a) Product Features:
  • Integrated intelligent people counting algorithm, 1CH video input (H.264, CIF) use for real-time monitoring + video people counting for statistics passengers flow volume, embedded in Web Server can access IE direct; Instant playback of the video screen; SD card stored video, through network achieve data to export and import.
  • Count the passenger get on/off total number of front or back door and compartment changing number constantly.
  • Many people can though the detection area at the same time; it can distinguish each individual flow direction.
  • Support door sensor access, it will stop to statistics a number of passengers on the train or get off when the bus door closing.

2. System Constitute and Function Description
Intelligent People Counting Analyzer
  •  Intelligent People Counting Analyzer analyze the images from cameras which mounted on front and back door real-time, send the real-time traffic statistics result to GPS terminal via RS232 or RS485 communication interface, GPS combined passenger flow statistics data and location, transfer to bus scheduling platform, platform execute scheduling based on the data and export all kind of reports.
  • Mobile DVR: Vehicle MDVR transfers analog video to digital video and compression storage.
  • 3G/GPRS/WIFI/GPS transmitting terminal, 3G/GPRS/WIFI/GPS receiving background, achieve wireless transmission
  • The bus scheduling management platform:
    Bus scheduling center staff can view all bus passenger flow statistics data by backend bus scheduling platform real-time, generate corresponding passenger flow charts to view. It can queries and playback of video through this platform.
  • Permission opens to different level of the terminal management, staff can through mobile phone or computer to log in this management platform center, query the date needed, and do certain permission management.
3. System Workflow

  • Bus door ON/OFF switch, through the door sensor to detect the ON/OFF signals, transfer the door sensor signals to the interface of intelligent people counting analyzer.
  • Analyzer judges the door sensor signal status to decide start or stop passenger flow statistics.
  • Intelligent People Counting Analyzer need to communicate with the GPS, borrow GPS wireless transmission function, combine GPS location function, send each site on/off passenger flow statistics transmission to bus backstage scheduling management platform.
  • Bus backstage scheduling management platform can generate different reports as customer demand by GPS provided passenger flow and location.
  • Bus backstage scheduling management platform can monitor and dispatch bus according to passenger flow and location provided by GPS.

MIDDLEWARE INTRODUCTION
Transfer Medium: TCP/IP

Middleware is based on bus passenger flow statistics product data middleware, use to front-end device to connect and control system services program, and is based on the middleware of other application software provides data cache and a standardized control interface. And it can support wireless, wired communication protocol, 3G and other network access methods. In order to make application software more convenient, more flexible and universal to operate, control bus passenger flow statistics equipment, and flexibility in the use of information and data (including traffic statistics information, video information, and 3G positioning, etc). FIRS introduced middleware to encapsulation process of the PC and the device. Depending on the application needs to simplify the application layer software to communicate with the development work.
